WALK THIS WAY!

Welcome to our site!

We are a small family owned business located in beautiful Northwest Montana.  We are located 20 miles from Kalispell, and 6 miles from Bigfork, just off Hwy. 35.

We raise and train quality Tennessee Walking horses.  All of our horses are registered through TWHBEA (Breeders Association).  All of our foals are imprinted at birth, which make them very friendly and comfortable around people, dogs, etc.  very approachable, and easy to handle.

We breed our broodmares to top-quality proven WGC sires.
We want to promote this great breed known for it's smooth gaited "no-bounce" ride, which makes it a perfect choice for trail-riding, especially those who find it uncomfortable to ride other breeds due to back problems, etc.

See more on this site under breed history to see what exactly a Walker is made of, and how it all began!

All of our horses are very sweet in disposition and smooth riding which makes for a great glide-ride!

Every horse at our place has basic manners and respect for their owner/handler. Basic manners to us implies standing still for the farrier, while being groomed, bathed, clipped, etc. and most especially while mounting. Pawing, being head shy, cribbing, disrespecting your space, or any other bad habits are non-existent and not tolerated.

We train our horses to both neck rein and direct rein, and teach
them one rein stops, in case there ever was a situation where you would have to use it, they would know what is asked of them.

The bottom line is we want you to be completely happy with your new best friend, and would be more than happy to train it to do something you'd like to see, or correct anything you don't like.

We do all our own training, imprinting and handling the foals from birth on a daily basis. We train them from weanlings to learn to load and unload into a 2 horse straight in trailer, then going into a slant load is a breeze!
We believe in extensive ground work with love and patience, and find that when our horses are ready to go under saddle, the hours of ground work pay off and produce a well mannered horse which is a pleasure to work with and ride.

Thanks for visiting Pleasantview Tennessee Walking Horses located in beautiful Bigfork, Montana!

Visitors are always welcome. We love meeting other walking horse enthusiasts or folks who are new to the breed.

It's hard to sell any of our horses, which have become part of the family, but the tax man says we should at least attempt to show some type of profit.
The only comfort is knowing that when they go to a good home and someone else gets to enjoy this fine smooth riding breed, it makes it all worthwhile knowing that others  are having as much fun riding as we do!

We have a variety of proven broodmares, geldings, yearlings, and foals for sale.  We also have a direct son of Bold Design, a two-year old who promises to be a great stud prospect with his beautiful grey color and charming personality and good looks!

To view pedigrees, we have them listed on
www.walkersforsale.com, under the State of Montana.

Thanks for visiting, and HAPPY TRAILS TO US ALL!
